In order to qualify for the guarantee you must:
1) Attend all the classes.
If it is an online course, you may miss up to two live broadcast classes. The rest of the classes must be attended live during the original broadcast.
The make-up recorded class must be attended prior to the subsequent live broadcast.
- If it is a classroom setting course, you may miss up to two classes provided that you view the recorded class session that you missed prior to the next scheduled class.
2) Homework assignments must be completed and submitted on time.
3) The pre- and post-course questionnaires must be completed.
The guarantee is that if the student does not believe he or she is happier after attending the course seriously, completing the homework assignments, and completing the pre- and post-course questionnaires, a refund may be requested within 30 days of the completion of the course. The results of the pre- and post-course questionnaires must support reflect no improvement in happiness level.

Why are attendance and homework required to qualify for the money back guarantee?

On the other hand, such a guarantee could result in someone deciding it was 'no big deal' if they skipped classes or chose to do other activities instead of attending because 'they could just get their money back if it does not work.' This would not be fair to Happiness 1st Institute for two reasons. The student, via their enrollment, is taking space that could be sold to another student. If they occupy the chair but do not intend to really attend, Happiness 1st Institute will incur fixed costs associated with providing that chair and would lose the revenue that it should generate. If students who do not really participate request a refund under the Money Back Guarantee, Happiness 1st Institute would have inaccurate records about how helpful the course is since statistics from those who do not fulfill their attendance responsibilities would have a negative impact on the results.
